What are You Curious About?

Hello WestShore,

I just wanted to do a small post letting you know that I am available Wednesday mornings to work collaboratively with you on anything related to your role at WestShore or assist you with researching resources / materials. For example, if you want to differentiate your instruction and need videos or pictures etc., I will try to find some for you or if you want to start a Blog, I can help get you started, or if you want to discuss integrating technology into your pedagogy I can brainstorm with you. If Wednesday does not work for you, please send me an email and I will try to make something work.

Just to note, everyone teaches differently and each year we are faced with new learners and needs but together we can create new approaches to fit your classroom composition and teaching style. We can brainstorm, apply, reflect and then apply again. 

As well, if you have a classroom with technology and you are unsure how to fully utilize it in your lessons you may send an email to me, danderson2@sd62.bc.ca or Devon, dstokesbennett@sd62.bc.ca to request release time to work with a teacher from WCLT or another school, if they have the knowledge you need, to learn about integrating that technology or software into your pedagogy. In return, you too may be asked to work with a peer to share your new knowledge and help get them started, we call this initiative “Pay it Forward“. There are also many more district initiatives and the details are going to be distributed soon in the district Learning Booklet, which I should be able to bring to the next staff meeting.
